Patios & Covered Porches

Patios that finishthe back of the house.

Most people spend the money inside and leave the patio a gray slab. A coated patio is the cheapest square footage you will ever add to how the house actually feels.

Covered back patio with outdoor furniture on a coated floor

The slab is the last unfinished room.

  • Bare concrete stains from planters, grills, and hard water and never comes clean.
  • It cracks, dusts, and looks older than the house it is attached to.
  • Outdoor furniture looks staged on top of it instead of belonging there.
  • Pressure washing it every spring is not a finish, it is a chore.

A finished floor, outdoors.

  • The same flake system that goes in high-end garages, rated for outdoor UV.
  • Sealed so spills, planters, and grill grease wipe up instead of staining.
  • Cracks and chips repaired before anything gets coated over them.
  • Thirteen flake colors, so it can match the house instead of fighting it.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Will a patio coating hold up outdoors in Idaho?

That is what the polyaspartic topcoat is for. It is UV-stable, so it does not yellow or chalk in summer sun, and it stays flexible enough to handle our freeze and thaw swings. Epoxy alone would not survive outside, which is why it is only the base layer.

Does it fade?

The topcoat is UV-stable and the flake color is sealed underneath it, so the color does not sit exposed to the sun the way a stain or a painted finish does.

Can you do a covered porch and an open patio the same day?

Usually, if the total square footage works and the concrete is in similar shape. We quote the whole area as one number.

What about a patio that is stained or has been painted before?

Stains are not a problem, we grind through them. Previously painted or sealed concrete needs the old coating fully removed first, which takes longer. We will look at it and tell you up front if that applies.

Can we put furniture back on it?

Yes. We will tell you exactly when at the estimate, and we can move the furniture out and back for $1 per square foot if you would rather not deal with it.
